CranioSacral Massage [click to toggle description]
While the validity of the cardiovascular and respiratory rhythms is undisputed today, for eons the very existence of these systems sparked debates in medical communities around the globe. Now for nearly 30 years, osteopathic physician and researcher John E. Upledger, D.O., O.M.M., has been a proponent of using the rhythm of another body system - the craniosacral system - to enhance body functioning, and help alleviate pain and discomfort. The craniosacral system consists of membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It extends from the bones of the skull, face, and mouth, which make up the cranium, down to the sacrum, or tailbone area. Since this vital system influences the development and performance of the brain and spinal cord, an imbalance or restriction in it could potentially cause any number of sensory, motor or neurological disabilities. These problems could include chronic pain, learning disabilities, chronic fatigue, migraines/headaches, chronic neck and back pain, stress and tension-related problems, and many other conditions. CranioSacral Therapy is performed on a person fully clothed, using light touch-generally no more than the weight of a nickel-the practitioner monitors the rhythm of the craniosacral system to detect potential restrictions and imbalances. The therapist then uses delicate manual techniques to release those problem areas and relieve undue pressure on the brain and spinal cord.
A CranioSacral Therapy session can last from 15 minutes to more than an hour, and it can be used alone or in conjunction with other therapeutic procedures. The results? A central nervous system free of restrictions, and a body that's able to return to its greatest levels of performance.

Hot Stone Massage [click to toggle description]
If you have never experienced this unique indulgence, you owe yourself this exquisite moment. Water heated Stones varying sizes are applied to key points on the body, giving a deep massage and creating sensations of comfort and warmth. The direct heat relaxes muscles allowing manipulation of a greater intensity. Cooling marble stones are used in cases of inflammation. Cold stones cause the vessels to constrict, stimulating the nervous system and drawing blood and waste products along the body. The warmer stones expand the blood vessels pushing blood and unwanted waste materials through the body. This ensures that every cell in the body receives more oxygen and nutrients while removing waste products through increased lymph flow. Not unlike changing the old oil filter in your car for a newer filter with cleaner oil - a service for your body. It is quite an experience to feel the deeply relaxing, penetrating heat alternating with the toning and refreshing coolness of the marble stones.
Stone massage creates a deep relaxation, allowing you to let go of all the stress held in your body. An amazing healing experience that enhances our awareness and brings us closer to our true essence.

Reflexology [click to toggle description]
The science of Reflexology deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all of the glands, organs, and parts of the body. Stimulating these reflexes properly can help many health problems in a natural way, a type of preventative maintenance. This serious advance in health care should not be confused with massage but is often used in conjunction. Practiced since 2000 B.C. reflexology is not new. The reflexology practiced at Stepping Stone Clinic and used around the world was researched and developed by Eunice Ingham, the modern pioneer in this field. It's purpose is not to treat or diagnose but promote better health and well being in the same way as an exercise or diet program. This therapy is used primarily for relaxing tension. Mainstream conventional or Medical providers agree that over 75% of our health problems can be linked to nervous stress and tension.
Using no special equipment except trained hands, reflexology helps to normalize body functions. A safe and effective way to better health, it will not make any condition more acute or worse.
Reiki [click to toggle description]
Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”) is the combining of universal energy with individual energy to open pathways of healing. It teaches that disease is not separate from the body; it is the body out of balance. Rediscovered by Japanese Buddhist and Christian scholar of theology Mikao Usui around 1921, this energy healing method involves placing the hands on or just above the body in order to align chakras and bring healing energy to organs and glands. The practitioner, trained to access and serve as a channel for the life energy, uses a passive touch that some clients experience as a warmth or tingling. The hands remain in position for 3 to 5 minutes, alternately covering 10 to 12 positions over the body. Treatments work by dissolving or eliminating toxic energy and substances from many levels of one’s being, whether it is physical, emotional, or mental. This works to strengthen the harmonic flow of energy within the body. The three levels of training in the initiation process of becoming a reiki master are referred to as attunement levels. Through this training, the practitioner reaches a level where she can access energy flow through the hands to heal herself and others.
Sports Massage [click to toggle description]
Massage is recorded as one of the earliest forms of physical therapy and used by different cultures for over 3,000 years. In all types of massage the therapist has specific aims in mind, and in sport massage the aim is the individual needs of the athlete. Athletes who are looking to improve performance and increase their competitive edge do so by adopting a training schedule to enhance their skill, strength, stamina, suppleness, and speed. The degree to which they develop and utilize these qualities will depend on other factors such as the level of competition, the sport played, and possibly their position in a team. However, no matter what the sport, the aim is nearly always to systematically increase the level of training and thereby subject the body to gradual and controlled overuse. It is this overuse which may often create problems and imbalances in the soft tissues. If ignored and allowed to become chronic, they will not only hinder the athlete's rate of improvement, but also performance, ultimately leading to more serious conditions. If unable to perform at their best, they increase their risk of more traumatic for injury. Massage, applied skillfully, is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the muscle - skeletal system. Received regularly this can help athletes prevent injuries, which might otherwise be caused by over use. A constant build - up of tension in the muscles from regular activity may lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Muscle imbalances may develop and often go undiagnosed until they are serious enough to cause the athlete discomfort of impede performance. The skilled massage therapist will be able to detect variations in the soft tissues and by using the correct techniques, help the sports person maintain a much healthier physical state and prevent injury.
